WHY WELLCOME

You.
Your roots, respectedYour experience, valuedYour words, heardYour growth, supported

NOT A LABEL. A WHOLE PERSON.

You shouldn’t have
to leave your culture
at the door.

Your family. Your community. Your language, faith, and lived experience. They’re part of your story—not details you should have to set aside to receive care.

Cultural sensitivity means listening with respect. Cultural competence means putting that understanding into practice. Our approach makes room for how culture shapes your experience, while letting you—not assumptions about your background—define what matters.

It’s not about reducing you to an identity or expecting a shared background to explain everything. It’s about care that keeps learning, asks thoughtful questions, and works with your context.

TWO KINDS OF SUPPORT

People for therapy.

  • Reflective check-inA short AI-assisted conversation to notice how you have been. Not therapy, not a diagnosis.

HOW IT WORKS

Your next chapter.
One step at a time.

01

Start with you.

Think about what’s bringing you here and what would help you feel comfortable. You don’t need a diagnosis or a prepared speech.

02

Look for a connection.

Consider a therapist’s approach, cultural experience, language, and areas of focus. The right fit is personal.

03

Make room to talk.

Bring your questions to your first conversation. Share at your own pace and talk about what you’d like to work toward.

MORE THAN A CHECKBOX

Someone who listens.
Space to be you.

Sharing a background can matter. So can finding someone who asks thoughtful questions and respects the experiences they haven’t lived.

01

Your context matters.

Culture, faith, identity, family dynamics, and community can shape what you want from care.

02

Your voice leads.

Say it in your own words. You deserve to be heard without having to perform or explain away who you are.

03

Your goals are yours.

There’s no one version of progress. Start with what you want life to feel like.

THE POWER OF YOU

The “I’m trying.” you.
The “I’m ready.” you.
The you you’re becoming.

Every version of you deserves to be Wellcome.

FAQs

Let’s make it
a little clearer.

Starting something new can come with a lot of questions. Start here.

What is the Wellcome App?

Wellcome is a behavioral health app built around the individual. Its purpose is to help people explore and connect with professional support that respects their culture, experiences, and what matters to them.

Do I need to know what’s “wrong” first?

No perfect explanation is needed to explore support. You might want to talk about family, relationships, identity, school, work, or simply how you’ve been feeling. A conversation can begin with “I don’t know where to start.”

What does culturally sensitive care mean?

It means making space for the context of your life, without assuming that everyone from a particular background thinks or feels the same way. You can ask a therapist about their experience, approach, and how they incorporate culture into care.

What should I know about cost?

Session costs and payment details can be discussed with the Wellcome team before you decide whether to proceed. No payment is collected through this request.

What happens when I join the therapy waitlist?

Your contact details and any preferences you choose to share are sent to the Wellcome team. The request is not a booked appointment; the team will contact you to discuss availability. Your topic reflection stays on your device and is not sent. Do not include clinical details.

What should I ask before choosing a therapist?

Ask about licensure in your state, experience with your concerns, approach to culture and identity, session fees, cancellation policies, and how they protect your privacy. You can also ask what the first session is usually like.

A QUIET MOMENT, ANYWHERE

A few minutes
between stops.

On the commute or a slow afternoon, open Wellcome, see what is next, or take a short check-in in your own words. Where You Belong fits into the day you already have.

PREVENTION STARTS WITH NOTICING

Check in before
it builds up.

A short guided conversation about how things have been, in your own words. With your consent, replies are processed by AI to ask thoughtful follow-ups; Nothing is saved unless you choose to save it to a member account, and sharing with staff is a separate choice. Optional reminders help you keep checking in.
